After each loop journey, return to the comfort of your private Cabin, and a deliciously prepared meal featuring range-fed beef or buffalo, served family-style.  Each guest house is equipped with comfortable full or queen sized beds, thick down comforters, private baths, plush towels, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator.  Some riding experience is recommended; however, beginner level is suitable, as this kind of horseback riding is generally quiet, slow and relaxing, done at your pace.  This adventure can easily be combined with a Double E Ranch Riding Vacation, if desired.  Ask about  rates and schedule options. 

Your experience will be led by Double E Ranch Staff member Mark Rinsler. You'll travel by horseback from Ranch Headquarters to the base of the Pinos Altos Mountain Range.  As an avid horseman, Mark is passionate about riding horses, nature and local culture.  When he is not riding, he is out hiking in his quest to explore Native American sites in the region.

With a degree in cultural anthropology and a Masters in Journalism, Mark is relentless in his desire to share the history of the Old West, the world of Nature in the Southwest and Native American Culture in the Gila Wilderness region.  Mark  will reveal to you some of the most stunning wilderness vistas imaginable!  Or, explore ancient Native American village sites.  Your horse will be steady and sure-footed, willing to carry you there and beyond.  Gila Wilderness Expeditions will use horses which are seasoned and safe in the mountains and rocky, rugged terrain of southwestern New Mexico and the Gila National Forest Region.
